Two Men and a Truck – Driving the Distance

Two Men and a Truck are “The Movers Who Care” and continue to prove their slogan true. The moving company has helped Cheeriodicals for years to deliver big green boxes of cheer across the country. Two Men and a Truck have again gone above and beyond by driving an hour and a half out of their city, at no charge, to help deliver cheer.

On June 20, Pfizer participated in a Cheeriodicals team building event that benefitted Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. While Pfizer assembled 304 Cheeriodicals in French Lick, Indiana, Two Men arrived to load and deliver the cheer-up boxes and then transport them an hour and a half back to Louisville. Two Men and a Truck employees, Jennifer Sunberg, Assistant General Manager; Kayla Dover, Professional Move Consultant for East Louisville; Dakota Miller and Joel Miller, both movers, volunteered their time to help deliver cheer to hospitalized children at Norton’s Children’s Hospital.

The day following the pick up, the Two Men crew arrived at Norton Children’s Hospital. During the rainy early afternoon, Dakota and Joel unloaded the 304 Cheeriodicals into the hospital. Dakota said the most rewarding part of participating in the event was “knowing there’s going to be hundreds of kids happy when they get these boxes.”

Dakota has been working with Two Men for two years and is a member of their Leadership Council. The Two Men employee always volunteers to do any work with Norton Children’s Hospital because they helped his nephew when he was hospitalized. Joel started working for Two Men about five months ago and was excited to participate in his first volunteer experience.

The dedicated movers all had the chance to deliver a few big green boxes to inpatient children at Nortons. Joel said, “just seeing them happy” made it worth the while.
