Cheeriodicals and Pfizer’s relationship began over eight years ago in 2017, and we are thrilled to have recently hosted their 50th Cheeriodicals team building event! This remarkable achievement breaks down to 10,059 care packages carefully assembled and delivered to Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, the Manhattan Veterans Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Indianapolis, and the Orlando VA Medical Center, along with numerous other children’s hospitals, Veterans facilities, and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. Every donation is a testament to the collective spirit of Pfizer employees who came together with a common goal, turning a team-building initiative into a powerful act of service by spreading cheer to those in need. Their commitment has brought joy to thousands and helped spread hope and cheer nationwide.
Pfizer Inc. is a leading global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to applying science and its global resources to bring therapies to people that extend and significantly improve their lives. Their corporate partnership with Cheeriodicals adds another layer of profound impact: bringing moments of joy and comfort to patients during their most difficult times.

Looking Back on 10,000+ Cheeriodicals
But what does “10,000 Cheeriodicals” truly mean? It’s so much more than a number. Each Cheeriodical creates a ripple of joy that extends far beyond the smile of a hospitalized child surprised by a box full of fun activities. It’s the visible relief in the eyes of thousands of parents navigating the stress of a hospital stay. It’s a welcome moment of lightness for hospital staff stretched thin by waves of flu and COVID cases. And it’s a powerful team-building experience for hundreds of corporate employees, united by a shared commitment to giving back to their community. It’s hope, comfort, and connection – delivered one Cheeriodical at a time.
Pfizer teams have seized the unique opportunity to personally contribute to this wave of positivity. Their consistent effort has brought us to this moment, but it had to start somewhere. In April of 2017, we hosted our first event with Pfizer. Our team arrived in New York City and met the Pfizer team in their office, excited for the partnership opportunity that was to come. At this inaugural event, the Pfizer team packed 200 Cheeriodical care packages for pediatric patients at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. This was Pfizer’s first taste of the Cheeriodicals’ impact. Since that first event, Pfizer and Cheeriodicals have had the privilege of returning to Mount Sinai, and other children’s hospitals, bringing comfort and joy through impactful donations to thousands of hospitalized children in the heart of New York City.

The most meaningful part of any Cheeriodicals event is the chance to personally deliver the Cheeriodicals. Our team had the privilege of leading a group of Pfizer employees to bring their compassion and hard work directly to children and families across New York City. Witnessing those 500 boxes reach the children at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, and families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of New York underscored the powerful impact a company’s commitment to community can have.
Though we have had the privilege to work with Pfizer teams in New York many times, this event remains a stand-out experience. It wasn’t just the sheer size of the donation, 500 Cheeriodicals, but the employee engagement we witnessed that day made the work all worth it. Everyone was eager to start, they packed multiple Cheeriodicals each, and when a group of employees had the honor of delivering to the hospitalized children, it was the cherry on top. The joy was shared by the children, their families, and the Pfizer employees, who witnessed the real impact of their work firsthand.

Behind the Scenes: The 50th Event
In May of this year, our team arrived in Connecticut eager to begin the milestone 50th event with 110 of Pfizer’s Project Managers. With everything set up in their beautiful Groton, Connecticut office, the room quickly filled—and just like that, we were ready to kick things off! Our team then guided the group in packing 120 Cheeriodicals totes for hospitalized Veterans at the West Haven Veteran Medical Center. Doctors, staff, and our team collectively went room to room delivering totes to Veterans and spending meaningful time with them. Every smile and heartfelt thank you was a direct result of the generous donation and time provided by Pfizer and their employees.

Why Corporate Giving Matters More Than Ever
In today’s ever-connected and changing world, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than just a buzzword; it’s a fundamental aspect in creating and maintaining a thriving business. Integrating community giveback events into the employee experience not only builds a culture of compassion, but it also gives individuals a chance to find purpose and fulfillment in their careers.
Hosting a Cheeriodicals event allows your company to clearly demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in your community. Partnering with Cheeriodicals is a win-win, doing good for others while strengthening the cohesion of your organization and encouraging employee volunteerism. We are thankful for our clients, like Pfizer, who exemplify this goal of creating positive community impact.
Conclusion
Cheeriodicals is honored to collaborate with Pfizer and the many charities it champions. We are continually amazed by the breadth of the positive change Pfizer has been able to implement through these events. Each collaborative endeavor brings immense joy and a moment of cheer to those in need, fostering a spirit of hope and uplifting spirits.
We eagerly anticipate our ongoing collaboration with Pfizer, confident that our continued partnership will lead to even greater achievements and a broader reach in our shared mission to support individuals and communities. Together, we look forward to crafting many more impactful moments and reinforcing the invaluable connection between corporate responsibility and community enrichment.
