Team Building That Truly Matters: A Cheeriodicals & Prologis Partnership Story
At Cheeriodicals, “Team Building That Matters” isn’t just a catchy phrase; it’s the core of everything we do. It’s our purpose, our reason for being. We believe in transforming a typical meeting into something more profound, an experience that makes a tangible difference and creates a measurable impact in the communities our clients serve.
This philosophy has never been more evident than in our enduring partnership with Prologis.
Our journey with Prologis began in May 2017. We were thrilled to collaborate on a team-building project in Denver, Colorado, where their international headquarters are located. As we delved into the planning, we quickly realized that Prologis wasn’t just participating in a standard Cheeriodicals event. Their thousands of employees, both in Denver and across the globe, were deeply committed to give-back efforts. We soon discovered we were being invited to be a part of something truly special: Prologis Impact Day, their worldwide initiative for community engagement. We were incredibly excited to contribute to such an impactful day!
Our First Impactful Collaboration
That first Cheeriodicals team-building experience in May 2017 was nothing short of perfection. The Prologis team packed, donated, and personally delivered 320 Cheeriodicals care boxes to all the pediatric patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The energy was one-of-a-kind, and the impact was extraordinary.
A Growing Legacy of Giving Back
Since that initial successful team building activity in 2017, Prologis has invited Cheeriodicals back to Denver for their Impact Day six additional times, resulting in Cheeriodicals care packages packed, donated, and delivered to benefit:
- Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center – 320 Veterans – 2018
- Children’s Hospital Colorado – 264 pediatric patients – 2022
- Children’s Hospital Colorado – 264 pediatric patients – 2023
- Children’s Hospital Colorado – 160 pediatric patients + Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center – 140 Veterans – 2024
- Children’s Hospital Colorado – 200 pediatric patients + Rocky Mountain Regional Veterans Affairs Medical Center – 200 Veterans – 2025
Cumulatively, the dedicated Prologis team has packed and donated an astounding 1,868 Cheeriodicals care packages to pediatric and Veteran patients in the Denver area! Prologis has truly become one of our most valued corporate partners, consistently integrating our give-back initiatives into their yearly corporate social responsibility planning. Our joint events have set a new standard in Denver, creating countless smiles and making a real difference year after year.
Voices from the Heart of the Partnership
Gary Parisher, CEO of Cheeriodicals, has personally embraced these Prologis events, leading six of the seven collaborations over the years. He shared his passion for this partnership, “Leading the Denver team-building events for Prologis is always a highlight for me. I’ve enjoyed working with their leadership and the whole team for so long; the incredible impact we’ve created together makes these annual events feel like I’m with my own family. It just wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t get to see my friends at Prologis and, of course, be part of the hospital deliveries!”
Brenda Standke, Executive Assistant and IMPACT Day Champion at Prologis, has been our invaluable key contact since that very first team bonding activity in 2017. Her dedication has been instrumental in the success of these ongoing efforts.
Eva Gergely, Chief of the Center for Development and Civic Engagement with the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System, has also been a crucial partner, overseeing the distribution of Cheeriodicals donations to Veteran patients for many years. She recently facilitated the delivery of 200 Cheeriodicals duffel bags to Veterans in May of this year.
Eva commented, “We are honored to be a part of this amazing event every year. To be able to bring the volunteers to our inpatient units to deliver these cheer bags and visit with the Veterans, is an important part of the Veterans healing process. Often our Veterans are here in the hospital alone without any family or friends to visit them, and when our volunteers walk into the room to deliver the cheer bag and visit their faces light up and they report the visit was the highlight of their day.”
Looking Ahead
Working with Prologis has been a highlight for Cheeriodicals, especially given the consistent and positive impact we’ve had on pediatric patients and Veterans in Denver, year after year. We are incredibly thrilled to anticipate the continued years and the even greater impact our wonderful partnership will bring!
