On Feb. 1, volunteers from Anderson Windows and Cheeriodicals delivered 400 big green boxes to patients at Tampa General Children’s Medical Center and St. Joseph Children’s Hospital. With the help of Two Men and a Truck, the boxes were delivered to the hospital and then taken to patient’s rooms in children’s wagons. Volunteers filled the boxes with games, stickers, puzzles, decorations, magazines, and activity books for the children based on gender and age to brighten the days of the patients and their parents.
Cheeriodicals is a national corporate team building company that holds events to spread cheer at children’s hospitals, Veterans Hospitals, and other charities. The team-building event is held over two days. The first day is spent coordinating and building “big green boxes of cheer” and the second is spent delivering them.
