In September 2022, Spherix Global Insights collaborated with Cheeriodicals for the first time. Over 50 participants from their team joined forces to assemble Cheeriodicals boxes for children in the hospital. Impressively, they packed over 200 Cheeriodicals, mirroring the number of inpatients at Nemours Children’s Hospital in nearby Wilmington, DE.
The impact of the donation of cheer-up boxes was truly remarkable, as the Child Life team from Nemours Children’s personally delivered each box to the bedside of every child. This was particularly significant because, during that period, both COVID and RSV were highly prevalent in the hospital. The Cheeriodicals delivery had an even more profound effect, considering that many usual visitors, who would typically bring gifts, were restricted due to the prevailing health concerns.
The team at Spherix Global Insights was profoundly moved by the impact of their initial charitable donation to hospitalized children. Eager to commence 2024 with another meaningful endeavor, they organized a second Cheeriodicals team-building event. This time, their focus was on a specific patient group aligned with their market research franchise—individuals grappling with kidney diseases.

Cheeriodicals’ offerings for dialysis patients were relatively new, and this would be the first event where the donations were destined for patients at local dialysis outpatient clinics.
Notably, the delivery was set for Fresenius dialysis clinics, the largest provider of dialysis globally. Above all, this gesture meant that 200 local dialysis patients would experience the care of a community-oriented company invested in brightening their healthcare journey and lifting their spirits.

The Spherix Global Insights team collaborated closely with Cheeriodicals to pinpoint local dialysis clinics where their donation could have the most significant impact. Cheeriodicals management facilitated the connection with Fresenius Kidney Care management to coordinate the seamless delivery of the donation. Prioritizing a local impact, the Spherix Global Insights team chose Fresenius clinics in close proximity to their Exton, PA office. Following a careful review of the Fresenius clinic locations, the team decided to benefit clinics in West Chester and Phoenixville, PA, respectively.
The local Two Men and a Truck franchise generously offered complimentary pick-up and delivery services for the 200 Cheeriodicals bags to the dialysis clinics, as part of their ongoing charitable partnership with Cheeriodicals. The renal division of Spherix Global Insights actively participated by assisting with the unloading and distribution of Cheeriodicals bags to the dialysis clinics. Despite the recent snowfall blanketing the area, the delivery of the Cheeriodicals unfolded seamlessly, showcasing the collaborative effort of all involved.

Meghan Weiss, Spherix Global Insights, Franchise Head Nephrology, was part of the planning of this give-back project from the beginning and led the delivery team at the dialysis clinics in-person.
