Designing Team Building Experiences with Meeting Professionals International
Here at Cheeriodicals, we have developed a new approach to team building, team building that matters. Normally our method is only shared with one client at a time, but this week was a unique opportunity. We were fortunate to partner with Meeting Professionals International to provide an interactive, hands-on community service event during its 2018 World Education Congress in Indianapolis on June 4.
With the intention to focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and the theme of “Stop planning meetings, start designing experiences,” attendees had the chance to participate in the Cheeriodicals team building experience. Our President, Gary Parisher, led these professionals through the process of assembling the Cheeriodicals during three different team building sessions. Throughout the day, participants assembled a total of 528 “big green boxes of cheer” to be delivered to four children’s hospitals across Indianapolis.
Sixteen of the attendees were selected to deliver the boxes on June 5 to local hospitals, Riley Children’s, Riley Children’s North Campus, Peyton Manning Children’s and Peyton Manning NICU. They arrived at both Riley Children’s and Peyton Manning Children’s to distribute the Cheeriodicals to children and their families in person. These delivery teams made unforgettable impact to hundreds of children seeking a reason to smile.
The children were not the only ones impacted during our visit to Indianapolis. Parents, hospital staff and the delivery teams were also moved by the cheer spread through the hospitals.
