A Big Year of Cheer: Our 2023 Cheeriodicals Impact

2023 Cheeriodicals Impact

It’s been 12 years since Cheeriodicals delivered its first signature Big Green Box of Cheer to a hospitalized child at Children’s Hospital Alabama.  Cheeriodicals has evolved and changed quite a bit since that first delivery to a child in need.  We now impact a broad range of recipients including hospitalized Veterans, Ronald McDonald House patients, frontline hospital workers, under-resourced students, dialysis patients and oncology patients.  

Our growth has not been limited to expanding our product offerings; it also encompassed a reimagining of our team-building efforts, spurred by the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the ability to meet in-person halted (or at least constrained) for two years, we had to create a format to bring corporate teams together virtually to continue our impact. 

Over a period of time, we have now honed the skill of coordinating hundreds of people on a Zoom call to pack Cheeriodicals, and created the ability to ship them individually to patients in need.  Tough times created new opportunities to make it easier for teams to work together to make a difference.  Today, we continue to host virtual or hybrid events, adapting to the needs of our clients for maximum give-back impact. 

As we move into the Holiday Season, it’s important to go beyond products and operations and focus more on the impact we make with our corporate team building partners and their unwavering support.  So much of what we do can be captured in photos, and those photos help us appreciate the impact our events create for those in need.

From corporate event participants to community recipients, Cheeriodicals impacted thousands of people in 2023. In many instances, participants even included their family members to be a part of our events.

 

Photos always tell a story in a unique and personal way, but sometimes it’s important to take a more analytical approach to that impact.  Can we measure our impact?

As we close out 2023, we thought it would be interesting to take an analytical look at our impact and share the numbers. We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our corporate partners and each individual who contributed during our events, for the work we do truly takes a village!

    * Many corporations partnered with Cheeriodicals on multiple events this year
  • Number of Cheeriodicals team building event participants:  9,050
  • Average number of participants per event:  167
  • Range of number of participants per event:  20 – 2,500

 

The 2023 Community Impact

  • Number of Cheeriodicals recipients:  12,058
  • Number of cities impacted in North America with donation deliveries:  51
  • Number of states impacted in the US: 23
  • Most events in a state: New York – 10 events
  • Most events in a city: New York City – 8 events

 

As we wrap up 2023 and look forward to the new year, we enjoy reflecting on these reminders of our great partnerships and the true impact that is made through the work we do – bringing corporate teams together and assisting them in delivering lasting cheer to local communities.
